We went this afternoon, and it was absolutely fantastic – especially as it’s effectively an amateur production. Band was fabulous. Acting, spot on. Costumes, marvellous. A totally excellent 2 and a half hours. As you can guess, we can’t praise it/them enough

WEOS are a group that know this, and ANYTHING GOES ! What a show to pick. My word last night was JOY from start to finish !!

From the opening to the finale it was hard to stop from singing along , but feet tapping , laughing in abundance.

Anything Goes is set aboard the ocean liner S. S. American, where nightclub singer/evangelist Reno Sweeney is en-route from New York to England. Her pal Billy Crocker has stowed away to be near his love, Hope Harcourt, but the problem is Hope is engaged to the wealthy Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Joining this love triangle on board the luxury liner are Public Enemy #13, Moonface Martin and his sidekick-in-crime Erma. While her daughter Hope enjoys her time aboard, Mrs Harcourt is being courted by none other than Wall Street Banker Elijah Whitney and his bulldog Little Eli. With the help of some elaborate disguises, tap-dancing sailors and good old-fashioned blackmail, Reno and Moonface join forces to help Billy in his quest to win Hope’s heart.
